How to Prepare Your Wall
A well-prepared wall helps the mural adhere evenly and look professional.
Surface Checklist
- Clean and dry.
- Smooth and free from heavy texture.
- No loose paint, dust, grease, or wallpaper residue.
- Primed or painted with a suitable finish.
Timing
If the wall has been freshly painted, wait until the paint is fully cured before installing wallpaper.
Textured Walls
Light texture may work depending on the material, but heavy orange peel, knockdown texture, brick, and rough plaster usually need smoothing first.
